Hi Alan,

Thanks for visiting our website! Our raised bed are mainly made from reclaimed scaffolding boards - which are in fact pine. As you know, any wood (soft or hardwood) that is left outside for long periods needs looking after. We recommend treating the raised beds with our UV Oil Protection and re-treating every 1-2 years. We guarantee our raised beds for 5 years however if properly cared for they can last much longer. Please feel free to come and visit our workshop and showroom if you have any more questions.

Hi there,
I am researching details for a small raised bed 1000 x 1000mm x 450mm which I see is one of your specs.
The bed that I seek will be located outside and I would like to ask what material your products are made of. i.e. what precisely is your re-cycled wood. It could be common pine which would not last long or it could be a hardwood mix which would have a different life span completely. I am hoping that the raised bed I acquire would survive 10 years.
I will be grateful for your help.
Ayr, Scotland.
