All Glasgow Wood Indoor products are guaranteed for a 1-year period. Our outdoor products (planters, raised beds, outdoor tables and chairs etc) are guaranteed for a 1-year period. Your goods are guaranteed, such that should any structural or manufacturing fault occur during the guarantee period, then we will either repair or replace (at our own discretion) the faulty items free of charge, as long as you have followed our aftercare advice.

When having finishes applied to timber, the wood varies in condition. Each piece may provide a different outcome of colour depending on the life span of the scaffolding before and after life. If you are trying to match a colour you have previously bought from Glasgow Wood, or an item you already have, please advise a member of staff to ensure we try our best to get this as close as possible, although we cannot guarantee that this is possible.

We want your products from us to look fresh for as long as possible. So here are some of our aftercare tips when using our preferred Loxkin finish.

For indoor products, we recommend reapplying oil as and when needed. You do not need to sand back your products beforehand, although this is your preference.

For outdoor products, we would recommend every 8-12 months replying oil as and when needed.

Reclaimed timber has certain natural characteristics such as shrinkage, swelling, hairline cracks and minor movement, due to changes in temperature and humidity. These may appear and disappear with the changing weather conditions. This will not affect the durability, serviceability or lifespan of your furniture, and normal movement within wood is completely normal.

These natural movements are not manufacturing defects, and are therefore not covered under this returns policy. Please note that small cracks in woodfurniture is normal and is not a structural fault.

If you place an order, then cancel after this has been processed, there will be a 10% fee deducted from your deposit for administrative costs. You will also be subject to payment for any production work already completed at the point of cancellation. You will be notified of the charge that has occurred, and this will be deducted from your 50% deposit paid.

Stock products – you must return it in its original condition within 14 days from original purchase, with your receipt.  We will be happy to give you an exchange or a credit note for the full amount.  No refunds or exchanges will be given on Bespoke or Commercial orders, unless there is a manufacturing defect, which we would aim to rectify.

Finish & hardware – these must be unopened. When returning an order, please ensure products are appropriately packaged and protected, to prevent them from getting damaged.

Shelving / tables / raised bedsunless these are standard sized variations listed in the online shop, due to these items being made to your specific dimensions (unless, refunds are not accepted unless items are damaged, or the incorrect item is received. This includes products purchased via our online calculators (linked above). If you believe your order is faulty or damaged in transit, please refer to our “If you believe your order has been damaged in transit” section below.

Bespoke products – bespoke products are exempt from the right to cancel for the reason of changing your mind. If you believe there is a manufacturing fault with your order, or has been damaged in transit, please call us as soon as possible on 0141 237 8566.

Raw reclaimed timber – we do not accept returns or refunds for any recycled timber bought from our warehouse, unless it has not been removed from the yard and it has not been cut.

You may return goods totally free of charge by notifying the driver at the time of delivery, thus allowing the delivery team to bring the goods back with them. If it is not possible to notify us at the time of delivery, then you should contact us within 2 working days on 0141 237 8566. Should any structural or manufacturing fault occur, we will review this and get in touch within 2 working days.

If you believe there is a manufacturing fault with your order, please call us as soon as possible on 0141 237 8566.  Under the 1974 Sales of Goods Act, you have a statutory right to return a product within 30 days and get a full refund/Credit Note if the product is found to be faulty.

Your delivery fee will only be refunded if your order is being returned due to a manufacturing fault. For any other returns, delivery fees will be deducted from the refund total.

If you receive a delivery from Glasgow Wood, please ensure you check your delivery whilst our driver is with you, before signing any paperwork. This is to ensure you are happy with what you have received.

If we deliver your order as agreed, but your delivery is not successful, we would re-book your delivery and charge you for this.

Items will be removed from our collections area after 28 days from the date you have been notified your item is ready for collection. If you are unable to collect within this period of time, please let our office team know by calling 0141 237 8566.

As our products are handmade, our lead time for bespoke or stock furniture is 4-6 weeks. Some items have a shorter lead time of 1-2 weeks. Please contact us if you would like information.

Payment for purchases on our website are made in full. You may pay a 50% deposit towards purchases over £100 in person in our retail space or over the telephone.

  • Promotion codes are valid for orders placed on glasgowwood.org.uk or at our showroom at Unit 6, Barclay Curle Complex, 739 South Street, Glasgow, G14 0BX.
  • Promotion codes entitle you at the time of ordering to a saving on a new order placed with Glasgow Wood.
  • Promotion codes are only valid on current stock items, while stocks last and may be withdrawn at any time.
  • Only one promotion code can be used per order.
  • Promotion codes are not valid in conjunction with any other promotion. Offer is not valid on sale items or other discounted items.
  • Glasgow Wood reserves the right to decline to accept orders where, in its opinion, a promotion code is invalid for the order being placed.
  • In the event of product returns, refunds will be given for cash used in the original purchase once the discount is applied, less delivery charged on the original order.
  • In the event of any returns meaning that the order no longer qualifies for the promotion advertised, Glasgow Wood reserves the right to deduct the value of the offer from the refund.
  • Glasgow Wood reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions and/or withdraw the promotion at any time.
