Glasgow Wood Recycling is delighted to be nominated for the Sustainable Development Award at the Glasgow Business Awards 2019!

The Inspiring City Awards was born out of the desire to recognise businesses, education institutions and charities who, every day go beyond the call of duty to make Glasgow shine. Organised by The Herald and Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, the awards bring to life the achievements and journey of the people and organisations who make a big difference to the lives of Glaswegians.

It’s Exams Results Day! Glasgow Wood Recycling is proud to be a supporter of the #NoWrongPath campaign - celebrating the range & diversity of career paths in Scotland.Established in 2017 by DYW Glasgow, the #NoWrongPath campaign aims to provide inspiration and reassurance to young people that you don't have to take a straight, obvious or traditional path to employment.

This week (8-16th June) is National Bike Week! At GWR we encourage our volunteers and staff to cycle as it’s good for the environment and good for your health!

We have been selected as a finalist in the Waste Reduction Initiative - Public/Third Sector category after being nominated by DSL Business Finance. These awards bring together recycling enterprises from across the country to recognise and celebrate best practice and innovation.

Last year Glasgow Wood Recycling’s efforts to tackle social exclusion and promote sustainability were boosted by the announcement of funding from the Scottish Government and European Union for 'Designs on Growth' - our in-house design project. We are now 9 months into our design project and some great progress has been made. We've launched 13 new products!

Glasgow Wood Recycling were delighted to take home the Sustainability Award from the Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards in Liverpool on the 13th of March. This year the awards were aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals - celebrating those whose businesses are contributing to economic growth, social and environmental wellbeing.
